Taking Your Autoimmunes On The Road means embarking on a journey with confidence and clarity. Although autoimmune disease travel presents its unique challenges, it also opens the door to possibility and joy. Traveling with autoimmune conditions offers a chance for self-discovery, empowerment and healing.

Sometimes your journey may be to a hot climate. Protecting your skin, keeping driving to a minimum, and processing stress in healthy ways are vital when on the road. Sometimes loved ones share horror stories that scare you away from desert climates or high heat. But as an autoimmune warrior, I have countless personal stories and tips for preparing yourself for these destinations.

What about cold climates? Do you worry your health won’t hold up? Or do you simply count yourself out of cold climate travel because you’re afraid you might get sick?

I felt these same ways too. However, after having traveled to cold, rainy, damp climates, where I walked 3 to 4 hours a day, I found that it’s not only manageable, but great fun.
